Junior 2 Coach

 

Shelby started cheering with CVP when the program first started in June 2002.  After 7 years of being a cheerleader she transitioned to coaching.  In 2008-09, her Small Senior Level 2 team earned 3rd place at the U.S Final Destination Championship and 5th in the nation!

Shelby Macklin began her cheerleading career at the local pop warner squad when she was 7 years old.  She stayed there for 1 year and transferred to a gymnastics gym for 2 years.  She started cheering at CVP in 5th grade.  She has been a member of the Junior and Senior teams and helped lead her Senior level 3 team in 2007 to be national champions and a bid to Worlds Best Final Destination where they received 2nd place.  Shelby is a 2009 graduate of Plainville High School.  Before graduation she started coaching CVP's Senior level 2 team.  She has received 4 NCA All American Awards and 2 All American Nominations. She is currently a student at Tunxis Community College majoring in Business.
