Jessica Cusano
Senior 4 Coach
Jessica is no stranger when it comes to cheerleading. Her career as a cheerleader began when she was in elementary school cheering for the Plainville Midget Football team, now known as the Plainville Colts. Her eighth grade year was the first year Plainville made it to the national championship competition at the New Haven Colosseum. From that point on Jessica realized how much she loved the competitive aspect of cheerleading. Her freshman year at Plainville HS, her team took 3rd place at the state competition. Sophomore year her team went all the way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Senior year was the last chance for that first place trophy at states and the team performed their hearts out and made second place which was not a disappointment. Jessica has always had a great sportsmanship demeanor. She won several coaches awards and made NCA's All-American cheerleader 3 times at NCA cheer camp. After taking a year off her first year in college she felt like she needed to get back into the competitive atmosphere she grew to love. She became a cheerleader at Westfield State College. Her team went to Nationals in Orlando, FL. They took home a ninth place trophy out of 22 teams. Reaching a goal of hers to be a college cheerleader she put her studies first and decided to coach after college. For 5 years Jessica has coached several different skill level teams here at Central Valley Cheerleading Training Center. She holds an extensive list of national championship titles and several top 5 titles with her teams throughout the years. Jessica is currently coaching the all girl senior level 4 team with hopes of continuing to excel as a coach and a role model for the oldest group of cheerleaders in the gym.
